We are thrilled to announce the participation of 40 exceptional students from Grit Lab Africa, an ed tech program dedicated to nurturing top young talents across Africa.
Collaborating with industry professionals, tech enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs, these young innovators will showcase their expertise, tackle challenges, and contribute to optimizing operations in the scientific field. Their presence promises to ignite creativity, inspire breakthroughs, and elevate the hackathon experience.

JBS Bootcamp 2023

JBS GRIT Lab was launched at the Johannesburg Business School (JBS) as an extension of GRIT Lab Africa in 2023, with the goal of training students across faculties of the University of Johannesburg (UJ).

JBS GRIT Lab received an overwhelming response, attracting 598 applications from across UJ’s faculties, and accepted 477. Today, we proudly celebrate the graduation of 249 students, each equipped with proficiency in problem-solving, algorithms, and introductory programming using Python.

Among our accomplished graduates, 19 students have earned the distinction of being recognized as top programming talents, receiving a certificate of excellence.
