Grit and Programming for Young Africans

Grit Lab Africa (a non-profit organisation, in collaboration with the Research Group on Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Innovations for Digital Transformation at Johannesburg Business School) presents a FREE computer programming skills training (targeting all new technologies) and mentoring (in mindset, discipline, and GRIT) programme for young Africans.

Our aim is to create a safe space for training young Africans of diverse backgrounds, genders, races, religions, and ethnicities to be the best in computer programming, and building these young people into a blend of great minds, disciplined and regimented personalities with good hearts for helping peers and solving societal problems using technology.

In five years of running GRIT Lab, we have trained hundreds of young people who are worthy in learning and character, and they have gone on to secure and/or create jobs in the technology industry in South Africa.

On 15th of June 2022, we extended GRIT Lab to Africa, allowing any bright young African between the ages of 18 and 21, studying in a recognised higher institution, to apply and be part of this regiment.
